This is one of those stories I immediately wanted to reread upon finishing because it left me feeling so happy! I loved Nora and Jake and the sweet and sexy journey they were on. Paradise Cove was a truly wonderful read!
Paradise Cove (Matchmaker Bay #2) by Jenny Holiday
From the USA Today bestselling “master of witty banter” (Entertainment Weekly) comes a hilarious and heartwarming romance about a big city doctor who never expected to find the man of her dreams in the tiny town of Matchmaker Bay.
Dr. Nora Walsh has just been dumped in spectacular fashion, making it the perfect time for a major life change. She figures taking over the medical practice in tiny Matchmaker Bay for a couple of years will help her get over her broken heart, and then she can head back to the big city. But when the first man she sees looks like a superhero god, she wonders if maybe there’s something to small-town living after all.
Jake Ramsey also has a broken heart — one he never expects to heal. He doesn’t need people anyway and is content hiding out in his secluded cottage on the beach. But after helping Nora with a medical emergency, he finds himself opening up to the witty, warmhearted doctor. Soon the local matchmakers are working overtime to pair them off, and Jake begins to wonder if his campaign to get Nora to stay is for the town or because he can’t bear the thought of her leaving.

This was terrific storytelling and I enjoyed it
from beginning to end! I loved the feeling of hope this gave me. It
was a truly wonderful read and the sweet little epilogue was like icing in the
cake.
This story made my heart explode with happiness! It was so entertaining and fun with just the right amount of emotion and heat mixed in. I loved it all!
Jake and Nora were amazingly strong characters that I
adored. Nora was awesome. I loved how she was moving forward in life, her
attitude, and embracing a new town. Jake was amazing! I totally fell in love
with him. He was a quiet man with a heart of gold working through his grief. I
loved their subtle attraction and them becoming friends and how that friendship built to so much more and sparks started to fly. That building heat was
awesome and I was filled with so much anticipation for them to get together.
I loved that the story jumped right in at the beginning laying
everything out so I could just immerse myself in Nora and Jake’s world. It was
sweet and easy with a bit of drama and emotion. It was an incredibly
wonderful story with really great details and an amazing build. I adored the town of Matchmaker Bay and all the people and their friends. I loved the male bonding and how Eve
and Maya embraced Nora. I loved the tension between Law and Maya and am looking
forward to their story next. I also loved the meddlesome older folks and the
wonderful humor everyone brought to the story, I was smiling and laughing.
