Hello Stranger was an incredibly entertaining story with a nice amount of drama, an awesome mix of cloak and dagger involved, and really wonderful characters. I had a great time reading it!

Rock Chick Regret
I finished up listening to Rock Chick Regret by Kristen Ashey (my review). Hector and Sadie's story is so amazing. Full of depth and emotion, lots of drama but some really entertaining scenes as well. The narrator does a fantastic job.

Hard As It Gets: A Hard Ink Novel, Book 1
I freshened up a recommended read graphic (see below), which inspired me to listen to Hard As It Gets by Laura Kaye (my review). This is my second time listening to the audio and I can't stop listening. I keep finding things to do that will have me leaving by Bose headphones on.

things-to-note
Recommended Read: The Hard Ink Series by Laura Kaye
I'm back to updating graphics for my Recommended Read feature. This month I worked on The Hard Ink Series by Laura Kaye. I freaking love this series. The books are sexy and action-packed with an awesome element of mystery happening. Find out more details HERE.

Usually, I read a book and then I let the review sit for a while before I go back and do the final edit, create the blog post, and share. That means the following reviews will be coming your way in the near-ish future:

Devil and the Deep by Julie Ann Walker
Kiss of Crimson by Lara Adrian
Midnight Awakening by Lara Adrian
Midnight Rising by Lara Adrian
Veil of Midnight by Lara Adrian
The Wedding Date Disaster by Avery Flynn
A Rogue of One's Own by Evie Dunmore
Bound by Shadows by Kathy Lyons

I read a lot more books than I realized this month. Go me! And I did some binging with the Midnight Breed series, so good! I love PNR and these are awesome.

In other news, we're still all at home doing our thing. I think during the day we do our best to ignore each other so we can get our individual things done and then by the end of the day when we sit down for dinner, we're all "home from work" and ready to interact. So far so good. I'm just trying to stay positive otherwise I'm going to feel like a rat trapped in a cage, lol!

I hope you're all doing well and hanging in there. I also hope you can find a little mini getaway in a book, that escape from reality really helps me.

What books are you looking forward to in August? Let me know! I can't wait to read The Jackal by J. R. Ward. I'm counting down the days!
