Hello! Hello! I hope you all had an amazing January and are hanging in there. I had an awesome reading month as I settled into the new year and shared 7 new reviews on my blog. Some of them were seriously epic reads! Be sure to check them out!
The Jackal (Black Dagger Brotherhood: Prison Camp #1) by J. R. Ward
The Jackal was absolutely epic! Everything around me melted away as I got lost in this world, caught up in the emotion, pain, and passion. It was incredibly intense and I hung on every detail and loved how it was woven together with an incredible build. It blew me away!A Heart of Blood and Ashes (A Gathering of Dragons #1) by Milla Vane
A Heart of Blood and Ashes was an epic and intense adventure that was thrilling and exciting to read. I loved the drama and passion and the incredible build to Maddek and Yvenne coming together. From beginning to end I was hooked!
The Candle Palace (Jamison Valley #6) by Devney Perry
The Candle Palace had a little bit of everything that I love, sweetness and longing, conflict and drama, a little heat, and a lot of love. It was a delightful read! The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgertons #2) by Julia Quinn
I absolutely loved this! It was incredibly entertaining with hilariously witty and challenging banter, I loved the verbal sparring between Anthony and Kate! Their back and forth was perfection.
Christmas in Quincy (The Edens #0.5) by Devney Perry
Christmas in Quincy was so fun, sweet, and entertaining! I love reading Devney Perry, I always feel like I'm coming home to these familiar places with really likable and relatable characters. This was just what I needed!
Lock & Key (Lock & Key #1) by Cat Porter
Lock and Key was an intense story with really unique and broken characters that pulled me in. It was a raw and gritty second chance romance and I was consumed by this world, the culture, and the dynamics taking place. An excellent read!
Pretend You're Mine (Benevolence #1) by Lucy Score
Pretend You’re Mine was so sweet and funny with the perfect mix of emotion and heart added. I was caught up in the lives of these delightful and complicated characters and couldn't wait for them to get their HEA.I wanted my first audiobook of the year to be one of my Favorite Reads of 2020 so I went with By a Thread by Lucy Score. The narrators did a fantastic job. It had the perfect mix of banter, snark, and antagonism. Read my full review.
Next up was Complicated by Kristen Ashley, which I am still listening to. Hixon and Greta are THE BEST! Read my full review.
I made new graphics! Well, I tweaked the one I use for my Recap posts (see above), and I made a new one for my Review posts. Thank goodness for Canva giving me ideas or I'd be lost. I ended up combining two different templates I was inspired by and creating my own in Photoshop Elements, then I added the fonts I normally use. Wa-la! New template.
