Book Review: There With You by Samantha Young

There With You was fantastic! There's drama, passion, and so much emotion, I couldn't get enough! This was an excellent addition to the Adair Family series.

For Regan Penhaligon, there’s no better place to run to than the exclusive Ardnoch Estate in the remote Scottish Highlands. Her impulsive behavior has finally caught up with her and Regan’s visit with her sister, Robyn, is an opportunity to hide from someone who has grown dangerously obsessed with her.

Determined to make amends for her mistakes, Regan plans to repair her relationship with Robyn by staying close. And when an offer of help comes from Thane Adair, Regan gratefully accepts.

Widower, Thane, needs a new nanny housekeeper for his two young children and when they bond with Regan Penhaligon, he offers her the job. But as the weeks pass and the complex American reveals who she really is, Thane struggles with his growing attraction to her.

Regan never expected to feel so intensely for Thane, but she can’t deny her passion for him or her love for his children. When someone from Thane’s past threatens his family, Regan wants to be his pillar of support. However, his continued inability to trust her might just destroy their chance at future happiness… and the person who drove Regan to Ardnoch might snuff out her chance for any future at all.

5 out of 5 stars

There With You was incredible! I loved the tension, emotion, and building passion between Thane and Regan. I loved the imagery of Scotland and the truly amazing world the author created that captivated me. There was so much depth and I loved being lost in it all.

Thane and Regan were wonderful characters. I loved Regan and felt for her and what she was going through. I loved the inner strength she had to move forward in her life and make up for past mistakes. As for Thane, holy hot Scot! He was sweet and a bit flirty but also guarded and I loved him opening up and his walls coming down. I liked the hints about both of their pasts as the story developed and the build to finding out all the details. They had fantastic chemistry and I loved the push and pull between them as they fought their feelings and overcame the conflicts that were holding them back.

There’s a remarkable cast of characters involved and I loved all the different bonds that everyone had and how new ones were formed. I loved Thane’s kids and how they were integrated into the story. I loved Regan and Robyn's relationship and why Regan was in Scotland in the first place. There was so much tension and emotion between these two but I loved them healing and moving forward. I couldn't get enough.

There were so many great scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat. There are a lot of layers and great details that intersect and I love how it brought the story to life. There are excellent descriptions and a phenomenal build as the drama played out and Thane and Regan came together.

I am completely in love with this series. I loved the first book but might have liked this one more if that’s possible. Excellent read!
