Book Review: Wild Highway (Runaway #2) by Devney Perry | About That Story
Wild Highway (Runaway #2) by Devney Perry
Amazon | Full Review + Excerpt
This was an absolutely amazing second chance romance! Devney Perry has a wonderful way of inviting you into a story and making you a part of it. Right from the start, I was pulled back into this detailed world, learning about Gemma and her past. I loved meeting Easton and couldn't get enough of the animosity between them as sparks flew.

Book Review: Pucked Off (Pucked #5) by Helena Hunting | About That Story
Pucked Off (Pucked #5) by Helena Hunting
This was an exceptional story. Intense, emotional, and oh so sweet. I loved Lance and Poppy coming together and this beautiful relationship they formed, it was so heartfelt, raw, and real. I couldn't put it down!

A Good Duke is Hard to Find was a wonderful story! This was entertaining and sweet with a delicious slow burn happening. I had such a great time reading it and getting to know Lenora and Peter. I loved the push and pull they had going on and I was excited for them to get to their HEA.

Book Review: Devil in Spring (The Ravenels #3) by Lisa Kleypas | About That Story
Devil in Spring (The Ravenels #3) by Lisa Kleypas
This was such an entertaining read. I love the Ravenel family! I loved Pandora and Gabriel, they were so intriguing and I enjoyed their challenge with one another. It was exciting to read!

Hell or High Water was a fast-paced, exciting, action-packed page-turner! It was so entertaining with these great characters, fun dialogue, and fantastic wit. Awesome start to a new series!

Book Review: Daring and the Duke (The Bareknuckle Bastards #3) by Sarah MacLean | About That Story
Daring and the Duke (The Bareknuckle Bastards #3) by Sarah MacLean
This was a wonderful story! Since meeting Grace and Ewan, I have wanted to know all the nitty-gritty about their history and I really enjoyed learning all the ends and outs as the layers were peeled back. It was passionate and intense and I loved the build to it all.

Book Review: The Promise (The `Burg #5) by Kristen Ashley | About That Story
The Promise (The `Burg #5) by Kristen Ashley
Excellent story! I loved the depth of the characters and how they came together. There were so many ups and downs between Frankie and Benny, I was rooting for them the entire time. It was a truly wonderful read!

The Unhoneymooners
Last month I didn't listen to any audiobooks so this month I decided to mix it up and listen to one of my Favorite Reads of 2019 to get back in the swing of things. I picked The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren (my review). It was just what I needed. It’s a laugh-out-loud, slow-burn romance that had THE BEST banter and one-liners. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.

Rock Chick Regret
After rockin' some CLo, I went back to the tried and true Rock Chick world that I love so much and started listening to Rock Chick Regret by Kristen Ashley (my review). Hector and Sadie are one of my favorite couples! I really need to do a Recommended Read post on this series, it's one of my all-time favorites!

things-to-note
My youngest graduated from High School. They did an outdoor graduation a month after the original one was planned. It was really nice with social distancing in full force. I'm glad he got to experience it even though it was very different than the graduations for my other two kids.

Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Noise-Cancelling, with Alexa voice control - Black
I have been using the heck out of my Mother's Day present. I love my Bose QuietComfort 35 II Noise Cancelling Headphones. They were an investment I'm really glad we made. It's amazing how much they cancel out so I can really focus on what I need to.

I have major envy of my husband's Father's Day gift. I got him a Garmin Forerunner 45 Running Watch. I've used a Fitbit for years but after seeing everything his new fitness watch will do, I want one of my own. It would be nice to have an actual round watch face again and move away from the odd-shaped rectangle of the Fitbit. If I actually get one, I'll get the Garmin Forerunner 45S since it's slightly smaller. Unfortunately, I must be patient (not my strong suit!) since my birthday isn't until November.

How's everyone doing? We're okay and hanging in there. My husband can easily work from home so he's commandeered one of our big kids' old bedrooms as his home office. He's been home since the end of March and it only took a week or two to get used to the new dynamic. It's different but working and he doesn't miss the 1-hour, one-way commute at all!

Usually, I read a book and then I let the review sit for a while before I go back and do the final edit, create the blog post, and share. That means the following reviews will be coming your way in the near-ish future:

Okay, that's it. That's all she wrote! I hope you all are well and healthy. Stay safe and happy reading!

Have a wonderful July!
