I have to say, April was pretty fantastic! I shared five new reviews on the blog for some pretty amazing books and read several more. I'm thinking May is going to bring just as much goodness. Find out the latest below.

April 2023 in Review | About That Story

review-recap
Coach (Treasure State Wildcats #1) by Devney Perry
I absolutely adored Coach! Millie and Ford were the best. I couldn't read it fast enough and there was never a time I wanted to put it down because I felt so pulled into the story. From the sweet moments to the playful ones, the drama, emotion, and heat, this book was fantastic!

Lassiter (Black Dagger Brotherhood #21) by J. R. Ward
Lassiter was truly amazing! I loved Lassiter and Rahyvn, the evolution of the overall storyline, and all the brothers and characters. The details were exceptional with a phenomenal build. It was emotional, heartbreaking, and pulse-pounding exciting with an ending that left me breathless. This was my most anticipated read of the year, I was equally excited and scared to start, and it did not disappoint.

When He Was Wicked (Bridgertons #6) by Julia Quinn
When He Was Wicked was another wonderful story in the Bridgerton world. It was fun and sweet and I loved the characters. I enjoyed their ups and downs and the incredible build to them coming together. It was a great combination of entertaining, emotional, and charming.

King of Wrath (King of Sins #1) by Ana Huang
King of Wrath was absolutely incredible! I loved the animosity, emotion, drama, and passion. All the intricate details and layers completely pulled me in. From the beginning, I was caught up in Vivian and Dante’s world and loved watching their walls come down as they opened up and became vulnerable. It consumed me. I had so many feelings and emotions and was rooting for them the entire time.

Accidental Attachment by Max Monroe
Accidental Attachment was a totally fun story with the best internal dialogue and awesome, laugh-out-loud moments. I had a blast reading it! I couldn't get enough of Brooke and Chase and the adorable Benji. It was incredibly entertaining with well-timed humor and witty scenes that had me smiling.

I love to reread my favorite books on audiobook. To me, it makes the story feel fresh and new even though it's one I already know and love. This month, I listened (or am in the process of listening to):
