I was so sad to say goodbye to this series, but what an amazing ride it has been. Secret Haven was a phenomenal read and officially one of my favorites! You don't want to miss this one (or any books in the series, for that matter)!
Secret Haven (Sparrow Falls #6) by Catherine Cowles
The first time I met Kyler Blackwood, he was a bruised and battered boy with fire in his eyes and nowhere safe to land.
Since the first time he kissed me, he was my best-kept secret, my quiet rebellion, my haven in the storm.
But fate forced us apart, making us pretend to be strangers because it hurt too much to be anything else.
Years later, time hasn’t dulled what we felt, has never erased the way we fit. And when Kye’s past collides with my present, everything shifts.
It’s a choice neither of us expected.
A bond that never really broke.
A line we were never meant to cross.
We tell ourselves it’s only temporary, that the arrangement is just a means to an end. But with each passing day, the lie feels more like the truth. And with each stolen touch, Kye feels more like mine. Because some things were never meant to be pretend.
And some dangers are closer than we ever imagined...

Secret Haven immediately pulled me in and had me invested. It was an all-consuming story that I felt deeply. I loved the emotion,
drama, and intensity. Kye and Fallon were amazing characters, I loved their healing
and growth. The suspense element was incredibly well done. From the prologue to
the epilogue and everything in between, this was perfection.
Since first meeting Kye and Fallon and feeling the simmering
chemistry between them, I have wanted their story, and it did not disappoint. I
loved learning their history and why they held themselves back from one
another. I felt for Kye and the guilt he carried about this past, but I adored
how he took care of everyone around him in his own way. I loved how much Fallon
loved with her whole heart. I really liked how the marriage of convenience came
into play and why, and what that meant for Kye. I thought this had a wonderful
slow burn as emotions came to the forefront, the timing was spot on.
I adored the Colson crew and loved all the different updates
about them. I loved the humor they brought, the text exchanges that had me
cracking up, and how they rallied when someone was hurting. The suspense element
was excellent, it had me guessing, and I liked how it built through the story.
When everything was finally revealed, I held my breath and couldn't read fast
enough.
This was a truly exceptional read. The pace was great, and the build was fantastic. There were so many breathtaking moments
throughout. The epilogue had my heart. I’m sorry to say goodbye to the
Sparrow Falls series, but it went out in the best way! 5 stars!
