From second-chance romances to historical to mystery and suspense, I had a pretty great reading month in August. Between all the new releases and what will be released soon, my TBR is overflowing. Check out the latest below!
Quarter to Midnight (New Orleans #1) by Karen Rose
I really enjoyed Quarter to Midnight. The storytelling was vivid and detailed and there was never a time I wanted to put it down. I loved the different POVs, which helped to create a great build as everything was pieced together, motivations were learned, feelings came into play for Molly and Gabe, and things started to unravel for the bad guy as all the dots connected.
The Hookup Plan (The Boyfriend Project #3) by Farrah Rochon
Overall, I thought The Hookup Plan was an entertaining, sweet, and heartfelt story. It was filled with fun scenes and emotional ones too.
Ransom (Highlands' Lairds #2) by Julie Garwood
Ransom was incredible! I picked it up and never wanted to put it down. I was captivated by all the different characters and the world they lived in. I loved the intensity, passion, and drama and felt consumed by it all.
The Redo (Winslow Brothers #4) by Max Monroe
I absolutely loved The Redo! This was so freaking entertaining with so many laugh-out-loud moments that had me smiling and my heart feeling full. I loved being a part of Remy and Maria reconnecting and falling in love. It's official, Remy is my favorite Winslow brother!
There With You (Adair Family #2) by Samantha Young
There With You was incredible! I loved the tension, emotion, and building passion between Thane and Regan. I loved the imagery of Scotland and the truly amazing world the author created that captivated me. There was so much depth and I loved being lost in it all.Overkill by Sandra Brown
I felt drawn into Overkill right from the start. I liked the little twists along the way as the story built, details emerged, and Zach and Kate connected. Overall, I thought this was a great read with a sweet romance and a light suspense element mixed together making for a captivating story.Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas - Amazon | Audiobook | My Review | Favorite Book of 2019
