Since Connor was first introduced, I have wanted his story. Knowing he was paired with Dred made that want a need. I am thrilled to share that If You Claim Me did not disappoint! This is a must-read!
If You Claim Me (Toronto Terror #5) by Helena Hunting
Hockey’s most hated player just asked me to marry him.
Connor Grace is the league’s bad boy–and my best friend’s worst enemy.
He’s the fallen prince of a famous hotel chain dynasty.
Me? I’m the foster kid who grew up to be a librarian.
I never thought I’d end up in a marriage of convenience to make someone’s grandma happy, but here we are.
I have no plans to kiss my husband for any reason other than show.
I have no plans to fall in love with the arrogant man dressed in a custom suit hiding intricate tattoos.
But when we’re alone, he drops the mask he wears for the rest of the world.
He holds me like he means it when he says I’m his.
And I want to believe him.
Too bad I learned early on that fairytales aren’t real, and nothing good lasts forever.
A standalone marriage of convenience hockey romance.
5 out of 5 stars
I adored If You Claim Me! Connor and Dred were
everything! I had so many feelings the entire time I was reading, by the
time I finished, my heart felt like it was going to burst! I loved the marriage
of convenience, all the emotion and sizzling chemistry, and the amazing moments
these two both had. I couldn't wait for them to get to their happily ever after!
Since first meeting Connor and his bad boy self, I wanted
to know the man behind the mask, and I was not disappointed. I loved his
misunderstood self. He had such a big heart, but often saw himself as the villain.
I loved his growth during the story and how he finally saw his self-worth. I
loved Dred as well. She was hardworking, caring, and stood by her convictions. I
loved how she believed in Connor, even when he didn’t always believe in
himself. They had such a wonderful connection, and I loved the development of
their relationship. It was sweet, playful, and full of passion. They had great
banter, and I adored the nicknames they had for each other. There are ups and
downs along the way, but I loved how they supported and encouraged each other
and got there in the end.
There was a wonderful cast of characters, and I appreciated
the entertainment value they added. The Babe Brigade and the Terror men always
make my heart happy. I loved seeing favorites and getting updates about them. The
women’s friendship, Dred’s bond with Flip, and the way the Terror men embraced
Connor thrilled me. I couldn’t get enough of Flip. I love how much he’s grown
over the series and cannot wait for his story with Tally. Connor’s grandmother, Meem’s was the sweetest. Every time she was involved, I wanted to hug her. I
also thought Connor’s relationship with Callie was really endearing. I loved the
story happening with the teens from Dred's library as well, that was a fantastic
addition.
This book was everything I needed it to be. I loved the
heartfelt moments, the humor, the steamy scenes, and all the emotion. This book
made me feel all the things, and I loved every second!

Note: I Could Be Yours is a standalone story in the same world as the Toronto Terror universe and not part of the series, but there are connected characters.
I love a misunderstood hero. Connor was grumpy on the outside, but on the inside had a heart of gold. Do you like grumpy heroes? Let me know!
