I am loving The Hathaways series just as much as I loved The Wallflower series. Lisa Kleypas is an amazing storyteller and I adored Harry and Poppy's story. Tempt Me at Twilight was so entertaining and sweet, I couldn't get enough!
Tempt Me at Twilight (The Hathaways #3) by Lisa Klepyas
He was everything she'd sworn to avoid.
Poppy Hathaway loves her unconventional family, though she longs for normalcy. Then fate leads to a meeting with Harry Rutledge, an enigmatic hotel owner and inventor with wealth, power, and a dangerous hidden life. When their flirtation compromises her own reputation, Poppy shocks everyone by accepting his proposal—only to find that her new husband offers his passion, but not his trust.
And she was everything he needed.
Harry was willing to do anything to win Poppy—except to open his heart. All his life, he has held the world at arm’s length…but the sharp, beguiling Poppy demands to be his wife in every way that matters. Still, as desire grows between them, an enemy lurks in the shadows. Now if Harry wants to keep Poppy by his side, he must forge a true union of body and soul, once and for all...

5 out of 5 stars
This was such a fun and exciting read. I loved Harry
and Poppy and how they met, it felt like a historical meet-cute! This book was such a page-turner for
me and never wanted to stop reading.
I loved Poppy and how honest, open, and sweet she was. I was intrigued by Harry and his need for Poppy. He was
fascinated by her and her infectious personality. I had so many questions about
him and loved discovering them all, watching him open up, grow, and truly love.
I loved that build of both Harry and Poppy finding their feelings, the
emotional moments and antagonistic ones too. I was filled with so much
anticipation as it played out. It's descriptive, well thought out and detailed.
This was so entertaining with witty commentary and
bonding moments happening. It was just super enjoyable to read. I was
laughing and smiling and it just made me happy. There was also a good amount of drama
happening. It was a really well rounded, exciting story. The writing was so
wonderful.
I adore the Hathaway’s and their ever-growing family. I also
am super excited about everything learned about Miss Marks and what's to come
for her and Leo, there was great foreshadowing happening for their story. I was
also thrilled to learn about Miss Marks connection to someone, I did not see it
coming but thought it was awesome.
Tempt Me at Twilight was another excellent story
in The Hathaways series. I felt immediately invested and apart of the
world. It just is an amazingly well thought out detailed story and world. I
highly recommend it.

Technically these historical romance books by Lisa Kleypas are standalone's so you can read them in any order you want. The stories do have interconnected characters so it was suggested to me to start at the very beginning with The Wallflowers series. This way you can see all the characters grow and have kids. I am so glad I decided to do this, I loved the build, the overall character development and the flow of the world as it expands. If you are an "in order" person like me, I suggest the following reading order:
The Wallflowers Series - The Hathaways Series - The Ravenels Series
I've officially read all three of these series but am behind on sharing my reviews. They're all so fantastic though, I can't begin to say enough good things.
I love a good regency romance but I'm feeling a highlander binge coming on. Do you know any historical romances featuring highlanders? Let me know!
