September 2023 in Review

Happy October! I can't believe it's finally fall, though it doesn't exactly feel like it where I live. I'm looking forward to cooler weather and cardigans! September was a full month for me filled with so many good reads from some of my favorite authors. Be sure to check out the latest below.

September 2023 in Review | About That Story

review-recap
Darius (Black Dagger Brotherhood #0.5) by J. R. Ward
I absolutely loved Darius! A truly fantastic read. This was a story I wanted but didn't realize how much I needed it. Learning about Darius and Anne had me holding my breath because I knew what was coming but I hung on every detail as they came together and fell in love. I loved their story, their ups and downs, and their beautiful happily ever after.

Making the Match (River Rain #4) by Kristen Ashley
I absolutely loved Making the Match. LOVED! I loved the characters, the conflicts, the different families, and how all the amazing scenes and moments played out like a movie in my head. This story was emotional and raw, and more times than I could count, I got choked up. I love a story that makes me feel and this one definitely did!

Fighting the Pull (River Rain #5) by Kristen Ashley
Fighting the Pull was a truly exceptional story filled with so much feeling and emotion that there were times I just had to take a minute to catch my breath. I loved it all! Hale and Elsa were everything! I loved the details, the depth, all the amazing characters, and the build to an incredible ending. I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint.

Things We Left Behind (Knockemout #3) by Lucy Score
Things We Left Behind was such a wonderful story! I loved watching Sloane and Lucian battle it out with their verbal sparring and antagonism as they fell in love, opened up, and worked through their past. I loved the entertaining scenes that had me laughing, the emotional ones that had me tearing up, and the steamy scenes that had me swooning. This was a fantastic ending to a truly great series. Loved it!

Heated Rivals (The O'Malleys #2) by Katee Robert
Heated Rivals was such a great story. I love the elaborate world that has been created. There was so much going on, I liked the drama, the heat, and the different POVs. There was excellent writing and details that really pulled me in.

Twisted Secrets (The O'Malleys #3) by Katee Robert
Cillian and Sloan’s story was fantastic. Twisted Secrets was an excellent addition to the series. I loved it! This was a full, intriguing story that had me turning the page like a mad woman.

Best Frenemies by Max Monroe
I loved every second of Best Frenemies! It was the perfect combination of entertaining, sweet, and sexy. I laughed more times than I could count with all the fun scenes and fantastic banter. It made me happy to read from beginning to end.

I normally listen to audiobooks as rereads but I couldn't help but listen to The Honeymoon Crashers by Christina Lauren. The Unhoneymooners was one of my favorites of 2019 (read my review HERE) so of course, I had to listen to the story of Amy getting her HEA! This one was definitely a winner!
