I am completely in love with the Jamison Valley Series. The Bitterroot Inn was an exceptional addition with the perfect amount of heart, wit, intrigue, and drama. I was hooked the entire time!
Her past. His secrets. They have more in common than she knows.
Maisy is happily content with the life she’s built for herself and her young son in small-town Prescott, Montana. Her child is thriving, her business is growing, and her family is as close as they’ve ever been. But when a handsome stranger walks into the lobby of her motel, her simple life is swept up in a wave of affection for his gentle heart. None of those feelings can be trusted, though. She made that mistake before with another man. The man she murdered.
Hunter was a different man when he first saw Maisy Holt from afar. He took one look at her and ran in the opposite direction. But years later, he’s back in Montana and unable to keep his distance. He shouldn’t have tried to find her but he never was good at rejecting temptation. The promise of the good she could bring into his life is too hard to resist. Maybe if he can disguise the lies and hide the deceit, he can keep her from learning the truth. Because his only chance at a future with her is by burying his past.
5 out of 5 stars
The Bitterroot Inn was amazing. I loved the
build and details as everything unfolded. I was filled with so much anticipation
and loved every second!
Hunter and Maisy were wonderful characters. Hunter was so
sexy and sweet. I had so many questions about this guy and loved every detail I
learned, how all the little bits and pieces connected, I really liked the
mystery surrounding him. I loved Maisy’s strength and determination. She’s so strong
and genuine, working hard to make a better life for her and her son but dealing
with a lot from her past. I loved how the relationship between Maisy and Hunter
grew and loved the simmering chemistry between them, there was a fantastic amount of
building tension and heat.
I thought the story was really well written. I was excited
as everything developed and connections were learned. I couldn’t wait to
learn all of Hunter’s secrets! Maisy’s son was a sweetheart, any scene with
that cute boy I ate up. I loved Maisy’s family, all their friends, and the
bonds they share. I loved seeing how everyone from the series has grown over the
years, the kids that have been added to the mix, and the basic growth for all
of them.
This had the perfect mix of everything I love in a story.
It was sweet and sexy, witty, emotional, there was a bit of intrigue and a nice
amount of drama. Anything with a single parent I’m a sucker for. Add in a dirty
talking doctor with a heart of gold and a strong heroine I'm all about it. This
was a wonderful addition to the Jamison Valley series and is not to be missed!
