November 2019 Book Review Recap

November was an interesting month for me. I only posted three new reviews but I read a ton of books so I'm calling it a win. This means I'll have lots of new reviews to share in the new year. The books I did read this month (plus the two audiobooks I listened to) were awesome so be sure to check them out below!

Changing the Game (Play by Play #2) by Jaci Burton
Kindle | Paperback
This was an awesome read! Fast-paced, seriously sexy, with lots of ups and downs and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. [Full Review]

I finished up Rock Bottom Girl by Lucy Score which was just as amazing on audiobook as it was to read. This book was a 6 star read for me and I can't recommend it enough. It made me feel all kinds of gushy and happy. One of my FAVORITE books of the year! Read my full review HERE.

I splurged a bit and picked up Knight by Kristen Ashley. And by splurge I mean I spent a $1.99. Did you know if you own the Kindle version of a book, a lot of times you can get the audio at a discounted price? Not every book or author does this but a lot do so if you're an audio fan be sure to look. Knight is a great read and I thought the narration was fantastic. Seriously, hello intense alpha male. things-to-note
In case you missed it, I shared a ton of Holiday Romance Reads and Recommendations. It's an ever-growing list with lots of books to choose from. Click on the image below to see all the goodness.

Holiday Romance Reads and Recommendations | About That Story

Did you see the cover for Runaway Road by Devney Perry? Be sure to check it out and add it to your TBR. All the details are in this post.

There is an updated cover for the phenomenal book, Royally Yours by Emma Chase. Check out the gorgeousness here. This was an absolutely epic, beautiful love story and one of my favorite reads of 2018.

The Ravenels
The Black Dagger Brotherhood Black Dagger Legacy
I was on a reading roll this past month playing catch up with The Ravenels series by Lisa Kleypas and The Black Dagger Brotherhood and Black Dagger Legacy series, both by J.R. Ward. I can't remember the last time I binged books like that. I'm not caught up but I made a good dent. Only one more in The Ravenels to go. Lots of BDB, lol!

We had two birthdays in the house this month. My youngest is officially 18! It was my birthday as well, I'm far from 18. He's my birthday buddy since he's is the day before mine. Mine fell on Thanksgiving this year, I am not a fan of when that happens. It was a nice day though and we all had a good time.

Christmas preparations are in full swing. I think 75% of my shopping is done. That has never happened before and I have to say, knowing that it is almost done is a huge relief. The house is decorated minus the outside and things are on track. I'm so excited to have all my kids home with their significant others for Christmas this year. Do you have any special plans?

Stay tuned for my Favorite Reads of the Year post. That will happen either at the end of the month or in the new year. I've been compiling my list all year long and can't wait to share!

As always, thanks for being here and supporting my blog. Y'all are the best!

Hope you all have a fantastic December!!!
